This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
hey there. thanks so much for the lovely comments, and the devwatch. i really appreciate it. and for your question...
that particular border had two shots, which i don't do a lot of the time, but here's how i do it normally, which will work for two or three shots, or whatever you want to do. i just take the shot (this is all in PS), copy it, and then go to file>new, and the little box will pop up with the measurements. for my borders, i add .3 to both sides because that's just personally the amount of whitespace i think looks good, but you can do whatever you want. so then i just paste the picture in that new doc (if it's only one picture, it'll be centered. if it's more than one, you'll have to center them how you like & stuff). for the black lines, all you do is right click on the selection button and it'll give you a few choices. pick the lines, and then zoom to about 300% so you can see to fill them. then i just click on the edge of the photo, space over 4 times (arrow buttons) and fill it w/ black or whatever color you like. when you fill them all there's going to be other lines you don't want, so just take the selection button & cut them out. sounds tedious but it really only takes a few minutes, and i haven't found a better way yet. if you find something out, let me know
hope that helped, sorry it was so long. and thanks again!
